Unfortunately, obesity is often presented as a cosmetic problem in our society, when it’s actually a medical one. Fortunately, though, you can tackle it by making a few lifestyle changes and, of course, working out.

Here are a few tips backed by science that can help you lose those extra kilos. I can’t promise that you’ll lose 20 kilos in 28 days, but you can definitely expect measurable results within a couple of weeks.

Tip 1 - Maintain a Healthy Diet

Although there are many fad diets out there, don’t fall prey to them. Keep it simple. Add nutrient-rich food to your diet and avoid processed foods. Ensure that you eat four meals a day with the following component ratio:

  • 50% fruits and vegetables (for vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants)

  • 25% whole grains (for fiber)

  • 25% white meat and eggs (for protein)

Tip 2 – Drink Lots of Water

Consuming approximately 350 ml of water half an hour before meals can be extremely helpful in your weight loss journey.
